Photovoltaic is the process that converts light directly into electricity. A thermal mass system can store energy for daily or seasonal durations. Since it uses the sun as a form of power it is constantly being charged. Even on a cloudy day the sun produces a lot of heat.

Solar power is power that is derived from the sun. One of the ways to use solar power is by hooking solar panels up to your house.
If you don’t have thousands of dollars to get solar panels put in your house you can make them yourself for a fraction of the price. It is more work to make them yourself but homemade solar panels work just as well as commercial built ones.
One of the neat things about using solar power is that if you bring in more energy then your house needs then your meter actually goes backwards. The electricity company will actually pay you instead of you paying them. What a concept!
